Paul Murray is a Partner in William Fry’s Asset Management & Investment Funds Department, specialising in the establishment and operation of all types of collective investment vehicles.
Paul’s practice also encompasses asset securitisations, debt capital markets issuances, derivatives and other structured finance transactions. Paul advises on the establishment and restructuring of financial services firms and his clients include investment managers, credit institutions, brokers and other financial intermediaries / service providers.
Recently significant transactions include advising:
- SCOR on its “Atlas” series (I – VI) of insurance-linked securisations
- Calyon and the Joint Lead Arrangers in a secured funding in respect of a portfolio of 28 aircraft purchased from the Aircastle Group
- Assured Guaranty Corporation and Ambac Assured Corporation in respect of a US$1.04bn aircraft securitisation transaction
Legal 500 EMEA, 2010 lauds Paul as an ‘expert in SPV requirements’ and its 2009 edition notes his ‘pragmatic advice’ and ‘detailed knowledge of the market’. Chambers Europe, 2009 praises him as being “reliable and extremely imaginative”.
