Orla is a Partner in William Fry’s Banking & Financial Services Department. She acts for domestic and international financial institutions as well as domestic groups and multinationals in relation to syndicated lending, debt capital market issues, securitisations, structured finance transactions, project finance. derivatives and work-outs. Orla also advises on the establishment and regulation of financial institutions including credit institutions, agency treasury centres, e-money institutions and payment institutions.
Orla’s recent significant deals include advising:
- Smurfit Kappa on the issue of senior secured bonds
- Chartered Land Holdings Limited on the financing of a mixed use scheme including offices, a theatre, and retail premises in the Dublin South Docklands
- An Irish plc on a senior debt buy-back by reverse Dutch auction
- The examiner of Structured Credit Company on the examinership of a wholesale financial firm
