David is a Partner and Head of William Fry’s Technology Group, specialising in complex technology matters and the strategic protection and development of intellectual property. His extensive experience covers outsourcing, cloud computing, personality rights, data protection, biotechnology, and electronic commerce.
Recent work includes advising:
- Railway Procurement Agency on Ireland’s Integrated Ticketing System for public transport services
- BSkyB on a challenge by the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner regarding marketing
- Hibernian Aviva on the naming rights for Aviva Stadium
David is a member of the Licensing Executives Society, the Irish Software Association, the Irish Medical Device Association and former Chairman of the Copyright Association of Ireland.
