Barry is a Partner in William Fry’s Corporate Department. He specialises in M&A, corporate restructurings, corporate finance, securities laws, company law, corporate governance, shareholder agreements, and contractual issues (including agency and distribution agreements).
Recent significant transactions in which Barry has acted include:
- Acting for Securus a Singapore-based fund in its recent acquisition of 50 per cent of the Irish data centre company Citadel 100 Datacenters Limited
- Acting for the Keeling’s group in the recent sale of its catering division to Sysco/Pallas Foods
- Acting for M and J Gleeson Holdings in the sale of the Gleeson Group to C & C for a total consideration of Euro 58 million
- Acting for the Gleeson Group in its acquisition of the wine distribution and wholesale drinks business of Gilbeys of Ireland from Diageo
Barry has assisted the Irish Government in the drafting of securities legislation and has contributed the Irish chapter to LexisNexis’ volumes on International Agency and Distribution Agreements. He holds a Diploma in Financial Services Law from UCD.
