Our team has experience in both the upstream and downstream aspects of the Oil and Gas Sectors. While the exploration market in Ireland is small, we have worked with clients on licensing, regulatory and compliance issues and key commercial farm in, exploration and production arrangements. We have acted on the disposal of producing gas fields.
We advise ConocoPhillips, a long standing client, on issues relating to its ownership, development and operation of Ireland’s only oil refinery and major oil storage depot.
We have assisted our large industrial clients in structuring and negotiating their oil shipment and supply contracts and have advised those clients as to the applicable NORA obligations.
We act for gas suppliers to the power generation, I&C and domestic sectors. We have worked with those clients developing innovative product offerings, including tolling contracts, and end user terms and conditions. We have assisted our LDM clients in negotiating flexible NBP supply contracts.
We are and have been active participants in the development of the Gas Code and advise clients on the issues posed for gas purchasing and trading by the electricity market. We monitor closely the ongoing work to establish all-island Common Arrangements for Gas (CAG), for the buying and selling, transport, and distribution of natural gas across two jurisdictions.
